The 2017 Arabian Cinema Awards: Moments We Loved

-

Last Friday, October 20, Misr Opera House held one of the most acclaimed award shows in the region; the Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA). Artists were honored for their great work, movies took home several awards, and it was a night filled with happiness, love, and tears. The award show was presented by famous Egyptian actor Edward, while Arab Idol star Ahmed Jamal later took to the stage to sing a couple of Egyptian songs by the late singer Abd El Haleem. Let’s talk about the festival’s best moments, from who took home what, to who rocked their outfit best.

The Awards

Even though there were a lot of nominations and a lot of winners this year, there were some wins that left their mark with people -starting with Menna Shalaby's win of the Best Actress award for her incredible role in the movie Nawara.

The golden couple Ahmed Helmy and Mona Zaki were both given the award for Best Comedian, while Maged El Kedwany rocked the stage when he accepted the Best Actor award for his outstanding and unforgettable role in Hebta.

The Best Makeup Award went to Tarek Mustafa for his amazing work in the movie Nawara, While Reem El Adl took home the award for Best Designer for her marvelous costume work in the movie Eshtibak.
