Hues: Wearable Art Inspired by Summer

Contemporary jewelry brand Sandbox has announced the launch its latest summer collection. Titled ‘Hues,’ the new collection highlights the relaxation that summer brings to our lives by utilizing the calming energy of a sunset and the profound emotional experience it brings.

The collection portrays the hues of a sunset through the brand’s signature use of crushed natural stones; thereby creating wearable art and signifying the importance of experimental jewelry making.

The two sterling silver photographs used throughout the collection are images of silhouettes photographed during sunset in order to draw attention to the contrast between black and white. The first photograph shows a palm tree on the shore, while the second shows an alignment of birds on a rooftop.

Founded by Suhaila Al Sheikh, the contemporary jewelry brand made headlines last year when it revealed a collection titled Cicatrix inspired by burn victims.
