Entering your church to pray,
but little did you know, it was your day,
the day your life would be taken away,
No, not because you got into an accident on your way,
or because cancer “took over your body" as they say,
but because a sick-minded individual decided it was okay,
to bomb a peaceful place Christians go to as a getaway,
a place that makes you forget about the inhumane things that happen everyday,
exactly like what just happened yesterday,
and as much as what i’m saying may sound cliche,
but its more than just a building you can bombard and take away,
and no matter how hard you try to get rid of us by destroying our Holy places,
by oppressing us and spitting on our faces,
our solidarity, strength and faith will blind you,
because our bible says "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you”
So "we will rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is our reward in heaven”
Now heaven just won forty-two angels because of your cruelty,
so you’re not bringing us down, you are setting us free,
My heart aches to those families who mourn,
those who will fight daily to heal something you have torn,
and as much as we are all in complete dismay,
we will still go to our churches to pray,
because nothing in this world can ever take this away.
