11 Essential Items You Should Have in Your Beach Bag

Don’t you just hate it when you go to the beach then suddenly realize you forgot your sunglasses or your phone battery is about to die? Because there’s nothing more annoying than making the trip from the house to the beach multiple times in the hot sun, we’ve compiled a checklist to make sure your beach day is as hassle-free as possible.

1. Sunblock and Tanning Oils

There are only two types of people who go to the beach: those who tan and those who don’t. Whether you go to the beach to lay in the sun or hide from it, you should take your products with you to re-apply whenever you want.

2. Sunglasses

There’s nothing more frustrating than having to squint all day. Grab a pair of trendy frames and make sure you look fabulous no matter what.

3. Lip Balm

Your lips could get very dry after a day by the sea, so make sure to take your lip balm with you in order to keep them soft and protected.

4. Small Wallet

There’s no need to carry around your bulging wallet with all your receipts, credit cards, and coins; just make sure to get a small one to carry some cash along with your ID or entry passes.

5. Hair Brush

A smart way to keep your hair looking good after a swim is to take a hairbrush, preferably one for wet hair, to untangle your hair after getting out of the sea.

6. Hair Cream

A hair cream should always accompany you to the beach; not only to make the hair untangling process smoother, but also to add some softness to your hair after sun and sea salt exposure.

7. A Good Book

Those who love to read probably know how satisfying it is to indulge yourself in a good book with just the sound of the waves crashing in the background.

8. Earphones

Although there’s usually some music playing on the beach, sometimes you’re just in the mood to listen to a specific genre or a go-to playlist on your phone. If you’d like to chill with some relaxing tunes rather than House music, grab your earphones and just enjoy it by yourself.

9. Portable Charger

Even if you fully charged your phone before leaving the house, you’ll probably use up your battery by checking your social media accounts, listening to music, and taking pictures while it’s on full brightness. Just make sure to keep it in a ziplock bag so it doesn’t get wet!

10. Towel

The most important item of all, at least if you’re planning on going swimming, is your towel. There’s nothing worse than having to dry off with your cover ups and feeling all sticky for the rest of the day.

11. A Snack

Spending the day on the beach will probably get you a bit hungry, so make sure you take a small snack with you if you’re not planning on getting one directly from the beach. Make sure it isn’t something that spoils easily in the heat.
